Hair and make-up at home or salon?

I really liked having hair and makeup come to me for the wedding. It was super convenient and I didn't have to think about picking people up and running around all day.

I enjoyed having my makeup artist and hairstylist come to us at the hotel. It meant we would sleep in a bit longer, and we didn't have to rush around from place to place in the morning trying to get ready. Everything and everyone was just in one place. I was in a wedding a few years ago and we got up super early, and then had to head out to get our hair and makeup done, and I forgot something at the house. So then I had to drive back to grab it, and then go back to the salon to get my hair and makeup done. We also had to get it done earlier then we wanted, because then we had to head over to the venue to get dressed in the suite that was available for us there. Also it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, but because it ended up being windy and cold, everything was moved inside! So it was a hectic day, and everything in one place was just so much more relaxing and easy going!

I liked having hair and makeup come to me. It was way less stressful then trying to be somewhere at a specific time and then having to go elsewhere to get dressed afterwards. I got to stay in comfies while my hair and makeup was being done and then just slip into my wedding dress and head to the venue.

I think it can depend on where your venue is located in relation to the salon. I got my hair dresser to come to the venue to do all our hair. It was a little cheaper as she gave me kind of a deal since she was doing so many. Plus my venue was like 30+ minutes away from the salon.

I liked having the hair done at the venue as it all went flawlessly. As soon as one person was done hair, they'd move to the makeup chair and the next person would get their hair done, etc. Plus she was able to stay a little bit to do touch ups if needed.

I have been in a wedding where we got our hair done at the salon and then drove a long distance to the venue and my hair was still fine so it's all personal preference. I just liked that it wasn't stressful as everything was in one place
