Groomsmen suits protocol?

The idea is to have the groomsmen and bridesmen all match. My fiancé picked the outfits. We are planning on going fairly simple with white shirts, charcoal pants and vests, black shoes, royal blue ties and socks, and hand made boutineres. For sure my fiancé and I are paying for the ties, socks and boutineres. The rentals should total to around $150 each and I will ask that each man provide his own shoes. Maybe if I find out their budgets we can cover any excess to make sure everyone looks great?

Just like girls pay for their dresses, the guys usually pay for their suit rentals. It is completely fair to ask them to cover the first, but just as with the girls, you should always take their budget into consideration. Ask them individually what their budget is and be respectful of the lowest one
