Flower girl dresses

Stefanie, on November 14, 2019 at 15:48 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 7
Few questions. Did you or the parents pay for their dress?

I found some I like from Rae's closet online. Has anyone purchased from here?
If not any recommendations on where to purchase? I haven't found much locally that I like and the bay, children's place or winners I haven't seen anything. I am looking for ivory, mint or rose gold.

The parents paid. I let them choose the dress. We paid for my nephew because we wanted him to wear something specific (he was ring security so we bought an fbi costume for him).

Traditionally, the parents pay for the dress, so if you are going down this route, ask them about budget. If you had a specific dress you wanted the flower girl in, I'd ask if the price tag was ok with the parents, and offer to pay difference if needed (i.e. dress is $65 and parents are comfortable paying $50 - you'd pay $15).

Some brides will pay for the dress as part of a gift, again I'd discuss with the parents.

I found our flower girl's dress off of Etsy so try looking there!

We paid for our flower girls dress as her gift as both her parents were in the wedding party. She is also our niece, so we felt it was a nice thing to do for her.
Her parents offered many times to pay but we wanted it to be her gift.
Check with the parents of the flower girl, or even split the cost with both of them if you want!

I didn't have a flower girl - but the way I see it, is if they want to keep it then they pay for it and if you want to try selling it after or keep it then you would pay for it.

If I was in your shoes and had one then I would start out by showing them the styles of dresses you are looking at and if it isn't that expensive maybe just pay for it yourself unless they offer to pay?

Traditionally, the parents of the flower girl pay for the dress. But I know some brides that paid for it, others who made it part of their gift, and others who paid for the accessories while the parents paid for the dress. It just depends on your own situation, but it's no different than bridesmaids paying for their dresses.
