We are getting married end of July. I'm meeting with a florist in 2.5 weeks. we would have met in September but schedules didn't work out. I don't even have quotes. just have rough price ideas. I want to meet her early as she already has a bunch of 2019 dates booked. and I just want everything booked early. so we can pay things off sooner.

I think it depends on the season you're getting married in and the photographer as many only book x number of weddings per year. My fiancé and I are getting married in October 2019 and our photographer was the first vendor we booked after our venue.

The sooner the better, this way you have a better selection of available photographers and can compare packages/pricing.

I agree with Stephanie and Bianca. My wedding is Oct 4, 2019 and I just met with a florist last week that we met at a wedding show and already have a quote coming to me this week.

No such thing as too early! In my opinion, it is one more box checked, and one more thing done and off my plate!

I'm getting married October 19, 2019 and I haven't started looking yet. Will probably start the search in the new year. But like Stephanie and Bianca said, it's never too early to start researching.

Oh hey there wedding day twin! lol I'm getting married on the 5th as well and if it makes you feel any more at ease - I haven't booked a florist yet. Of course I don't think that I will be getting one anyway. The price of flowers and the fact that they will die so fast for so much money is what is throwing me off so I think that I may go with silk flowers or just fake flowers in general. Who knows - maybe I can find somewhere to rent them? I have started looking at what flowers I like (and you could look into what flowers will be available next year at this time) and go from there.

You can start looking as early as you want. Especially if budget is a concern since pricing for floral arrangements can add up quickly. Or if you have a very specific vision you want to achieve you'll want to find a florist that understands that vision.

But if your in a bind you can usually find one on shorter notice. We had to find one with a month to go and it was not an issue as she still had time to order in the flowers and greenery we wanted.

3-6 months time so the florist can order the flowers needed and arrange the bouquets and centerpieces for your day.
