Flip Out Or Forget It? - Guests who wear white to your wedding

Joey, on January 14, 2019 at 09:21 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 33

There are plenty of rules every engaged couple needs to follow, but there are some etiquette rules for guests too. How do you feel about guests who show up to a wedding wearing white? Does this make you flip out? Or are you able to forget it?

Flip Out! This is rude rude rude. Doesn’t everyone know better? There are so many other colors out there to choose from that this is just inconsiderate.

Forget It! It’ll be pretty obvious who is getting married no matter what someone else wears. They are the one who will look like the jerk!

I don't care, unless they are wearing a ballgown or something people will still be paying more attention to us.

    I'd flip out. That's a big no-no for me.

I wore a black, white and pink dress to my brother wedding and to my FH’s sisters wedding.I asked both brides if the dress would be ok and they had no issue with it.If someone wears white to my wedding I don’t think I would care unless they decide to wear a wedding dress lol 😂

I'd probably forget it, although be at least mildly annoyed. Like, it's a universal rule that everyone knows about and unless they are a super airhead, that person is probably doing it on purpose... but they aren't worth the trouble.

I would be upset internally but wouldn’t verbalize it. My MOH jokes that she will spill red wine on them so that they end up wearing red lol

I would be a bit ticked but probably not make a huge deal about it. I'm much more concerned that my fiance's mother wants to wear a bright red pantsuit!

I'd probably laugh it off at how ridiculous the person looks.

I would be internally annoyed. But I wouldn’t outwardly flip it.

I had a guest wear white lace to my wedding (a friend’s girlfriend- I’ve never met her). I didn’t even notice, but believe me- my close friends and my sister were ready to crucify her

I would internally be pretty annoyed but I wouldn't act on it!

Very inconsiderate but hey some people don't know that rule!

Forget it. I didn’t even realize until we got our pictures back that my husbands aunts all had on mostly white dresses. They didn’t have a train and a veil so I was still obviously the bride!

I'd probably flip out, honestly. Depending on who it was, and how fancy/bridal it looked. A bit of white mixed into an outfit is one thing... but come on... you're an adult, you know better than that.

Forget it - unless it could resemble a wedding dress I don't really care that much.

Flip out - I'm sorry, that's the one color that's out of the question.

Flip outttt. Honestly this is so rude. If it's white with a floral print or something no big deal, but just plain white? Do you have any common sense at all?

Flip out, tbh. This is a universal rule, we ALL know the expectation. If someone shows up to my wedding in white I'll be sending dagger-eyes their way for sure. And turning my great-uncle on them to give them a dressing down.

Honestly.. I would flip. Its MY special day and in my opinion anyone else who wears white (other than my sweet little flower girl) is inconsiderate and disrespectful.. everyone knows you don't wear white to a wedding. I mean, unless its a dress shirt then I wouldn't be be super upset about that

Forget it - although I’d be super annoyed, won’t show it. It’s our day and won’t let someone who’s rude and disrespectful ruin it Smiley smile

Forget it. I don't care at all; and if someone else wears white, the other guests will not think any less of me.

Forget it. If someone wears white to a wedding knowing it's impolite then they're likely hoping for a reaction. Why give them the satisfaction?

I really want to say I wouldn't flip out but I honestly think I would. I actually talked to one of my bridesmaids about spilling red wine on someone if they do that.
It's really not that big of a deal but it's kind of wedding manners to not wear white, out of respect. So I would not be happy about it at all, it's just rude in my opinion.

I’d be a little peeved because it’s rude but ultimately I’d forget it. I feel like most guests would side eye them and know that they should not have worn white anyway.

I think it’s tacky but I won’t make a stink about it. Unfortunately the last few weddings I’ve been to - people have worn white. So I’m also kind of expecting it.

Forget it but imho unless the dress code calls for all white, it’s tacky and lame.
