First look or wait until you walk down the aisle?

We had a 5:30pm ceremony start but I still waited til she walked down the aisle before I saw her in her wedding dress. We did a bunch of family stuff prior to the actual ceremony so no need for us to hide from one another (we both wore something different for that vs the ceremony/reception).

The choice of not doing first look is fine as long as you're happy with the aisle walk to surprise him. Not every couple is going to have the same outlook with their choices of first look as it matters to them how they feel about it.

We both we really into the first looks option, so we are doing that. We wanted to have that private moment not surround by a bunch of people. We're having a pretty late ceremony (5pm start) so doing first looks is a nice way to fill the day and not feel rushed after the ceremony to get more photos in.

That's super good the first look helps the timeline be more efficient! I agree it would help calm nerves too!!

I have always wanted to do a first look since I heard of it but my fiance was a bit hesitant but in the end I convinced him! We will be doing letters during our first look instead of personalized vows during the ceremony. I like that a first look really helps the timeline be more efficient and I think it will be a huge help in calming our nerves.

Our ceremony is quite late in the day and sun sets fairly early with it being in October so we are doing a first look. This was we can get all the photos we want ahead of the ceremony and then do golden hour photos just before dinner

We are not doing a first look/first touch either.

My fiancé wanted it to be surprise of me down the aisle! I wanted a first look just for time wise so I could get more portraits in , so it wasn’t that important to me !

That is just like my Fiance!! He only wants to see me walking down the aisle... We haven't decided if we are doing personalized vows so the idea was to do a "no look first look" like the 1st photo and reading each other a love letter sort of like a personalized vow so we can keep the ceremony short n sweet. I think it would be cute to read a cute letter to each other as the photographer/videographer shoots it also more of an intimate moment for my fiance and I.

My fiance insisted that he waits to see me until I'm walking down the aisle. That was his one request
