First Dance Song

We are having our first dance to Dancing in The Moonlight, because on our very first date I sang that to my Fiance as we danced outside (at night time).

Ours is Dreaming My Dreams by The Cranberries

I have always loved that song, and when we were trying to pick a first dance song, I played it for my FH and he loved it. I knew I wanted that song incorporated into the day one way or another...if he didn't like it for our first dance, I was going to walk down the aisle to it

We are dancing to John Mayer “edge of desire”

Ours will be "Unguarded Moments" by The Proclaimers. I love The Proclaimers, and when I first heard the song about 10 years ago we were in that flirty, friendly zone, where we really liked each other but were too afraid to tell each other just yet. I thought of him everytime I played it and, somewhere in my heart, I knew that if we finally got together we would have our first dance at our wedding to the song.

About five months into our relationship, back in that phase when we would spend hours just chilling in his car, listening to music and talking, he said, "I want you to hear this song," and then he played it for me, and I think I actually teared up. My DJ recommended that we do a "re-unite" song throughout the night where we get a second slow dance in the night but it wouldn't be just us dancing the second time and that is when we are playing our second choice for our first dance song. Maybe this would be an option for Calico Skies

We love sitting together, having a couple drinks and listening to music together! We did it a couple weeks ago and Bryan Adams “Everything I do” came on and we both teared up instantly. So we decided to make that our first dance. Originally we wanted to do Paul McCartneys “Calico Skies” but we will add that into a different part of our wedding.

So far we think we’re going to use Rod Stewart’s “Have I Told You Lately”. We just started listening to a bunch of wedding first dance songs and my FH really liked it.

We will be dancing to "A Thousand Years Pt 2 - Christina Perri (feat. Steve Kazee)". This will sound a bit cheesey but something about this song always stuck with me, particularly the line "Right from the start, I knew that I'd found a home for my heart" I could just really relate to that, and that I would know the "right one" when I felt like coming home. And then the day FH and I had our first date, when I saw him walking up to me, this song just popped in my head. Later in the relationship I played the song for him, explained my feelings about it and we just knew! We both had been pretty single (nothing serious in terms of relationships) prior to finding each other so we feel like it so fits to the story of our love. Ok end cheese fest!

This is such a throw back song, I love it!

We are dancing to "Spend my life with you" by Tamia and Eric Benet. Early on in our relationship I was randomly playing my spotify play list and the song came on and we danced in my kitchen. It became our song.

We chose “beautiful crazy” by Luke combs. It’s our absolute favourite ❤️

We are doing "true colours" by Cyndi Lauper. We were on our way to look at venues when it came on and we both thought it should be the song.

We are using "From the Ground Up" By Dan & Shay.

I love Dan & Shay, and this song came up when their album came out. I loved it. Showed it to FH and he actually liked it which was shocking! Both sets of his grandparents have been together for decades, so its very fitting!

We danced to "When God Made You" by Newsong. We had randomly found it on youtube and the first time we listened to it, we both agreed with every line! It quickly became our song!
