First Dance Song

Awe, that is so sweet! Beautiful song. We have selected The Rainbow Connection from the Muppets Movie. Have been planning a waltz to go with it for months. Can't wait! You know, I can't even remember how we came to agree on this song (I know I brought it up...it's been a favourite for a very long time).

I'm very interested in reading what others have to say - we have no idea where to start with this. We do not like the same genre of music at all so it's an ongoing discussion!

We knew before we got engaged what song we would dance to. It makes me tear up every time I hear it, because it means so much to us. Choose something that gives you and your fiancé all the feels, no matter what song it is ❤️

We chose Perfect by Ed Sheeran ft. Beyoncé. The lyrics are so us!

We picked “howling at nothing” by Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats- no particular meaning, we both just really liked the song

My fiance does not love to dance and does not like the attention. I like old love song and he don't so it was hard to chose. When I heard Grow old with you from Adam Sandler, I knew it was the right one. Short and Sweet, not even 1minute long. We both like Adam Sandler and comedy in general so we will dance on it 😊

Our first dance is going to be to "You and Me" by Lifehouse!

We'll be dancing to Calico Skies!!

Initially we were looking for something older (1930's or 40's vibe), but we weren't having any luck.

We went to the Paul McCartney concert in the fall, and this song was playing before the concert started. We both kinda stopped and looked at each other, and decided right there that it was our first dance song.

We chose "Ruelle - I get to love you". When we heard it we knew it was our song as the lyrics were bang on.

Our first dance song is Time in a Bottle-Jim Croce. I was driving around listening to it thinking this would be a nice first dance song, and when I got home he asked me what I thought of the song for our first dance.

We chose First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes. We both listened to the same type of music in the early 2000's and we bonded over that in the beginning of our relationship, so we thought it was an appropriate choice.

Super excited we decided on it! My FH even offered to take dance lessons but I don't think even those could help us, we're so embarrassingly bad hahaha. I also just prefer when its a nice simple slow dance, seems more intimate than when couples put on a show!

This is our song too! my FH asked if he could choose our first dance song, and this was his pick

Initially we thought we'd dance to a country song as its one genre we both enjoy and listen to together often, but we couldnt agree on a song... We ended up choosing "Say you wont let go - Boyce Avenue" but it just wasnt sitting right with me.
I ended up showing my FH a song we both knew already but hadnt ever really listened to the lyrics and its sooooo perfect. Millionaire - Chris Stapleton.
I've been soooo obsessed with Chris Stapleton for years now. Its so perfect for us.

Also not great dancers, so a slow song is definitely better for us!

My fiance and I really only listen to dubstep together (lol) which is terribly difficult to slow dance too haha! So this song we're thinking of because it's cute and goes with our theme!
