The place cards and menu cards. Might seem silly but I made them all and put alot of thought into them and I think they really complete the place setting.

We haven't reached those nitty gritty, personal details quite yet. Currently I'm clicking refresh over and over as our invitations are going to arrive any minute... AHH! They are beyond perfect for our wedding, our style, and the overall vibe.
I think our DIY projects will be what really makes it for me. Putting that love and attention into the pieces that make up our wedding.
I'm really excited about our first dance. We took Argentine Tango classes (just through the local rec centre) at the beginning of our relationship and I really wanted to incorporate that but I didn't really like a lot of the traditional tango music, so we're tangoing to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. It also works very well for a waltz too!

My 2 cousins are going to be lighting a candle at the beginning of our ceremony in memory of our grandfather (he raised me so I called him dad). love that I can honour him and involve my cousins.
My favourite so far is our RSVP - it's irreverent, silly and very us. I really hope it sets the tone for the entire wedding - Fun!
That being said - I am trying to fill our entire day with little moments that will be memorable for us, and our guests - lightsaber battle instead of a regular first dance, a memorial table (which is especially poignant right now as my grandfather is in his last week or two of life, fighting cancer), remaking my mom's old wedding dress into dresses for my nieces (her grand daughters) as flower girls, etc.
My *favourite* wedding detail so far is our ceremony space (given that weather isn't a problem) as we are set to be married on a dock! I know, I know, I know - so many horror stories... but I think that it would be hilarious and memorable!! Plus I plan on having a much comfier sun dress for the majority of the reception.
I had put a box on each table for a different holiday or special occasion. Guests were to write advice or date ideas, or anything they wanted, and we will open it on our first holiday together. The first one is my husband’s birthday coming up in a couple weeks!
