Hi all! I had my finger sized by a jeweller in November 2019 and my fiancé purchased a ring (in that size) summer 2020...when he proposed in September it was a little big but nothing too drastic, maybe a half size too big. Now though, it literally rolls around my finger....I know your fingers can...

I had my finger sized by a jeweller in November 2019 and my fiancé purchased a ring (in that size) summer 2020...when he proposed in September it was a little big but nothing too drastic, maybe a half size too big. Now though, it literally rolls around my finger....I know your fingers can shrink in the cold, but it looks to be a whole size too big at this point. It’s at the point where I’m thinking I should get it resized but I’m really nervous to ruin it. Has anyone had experience with resizing rings? Also, I’m worried I’ll resize it and then somehow it’ll be too small at some point since my finger size apparently changed so much 🤦🏼‍♀️ Any input? ☺️

    That's a good tip - thank you!! I'm afraid to mess with it but at the same time, I don't want it falling off! Glad to hear they were able to size yours down 2.25 sizes Smiley smile

    When my fiance purposed to me back in 2017 he had bought the ring with the ring size a 5. It definitely was too big for my finger rolling around my finger as well. I took it back to the jewelry store and they resized it down to a 4.5. Sizing down shouldn't be an issue for the jewelry store to do.

    My Fiancé bought my ring on a clearance sale and it had to be sized down 2.25 sizes which can be difficult to do. I never saw it before it was resized but it looks perfect to me! Im sure sizing yours down half a size will be perfectly fine! If it helps, I was told to shake your hand (in a safe space) when your finger is at its smallest (so when you're cold or dehydrated) if your ring doesn't go past your first knuckle, it won't fall off.
