I’m probably overthinking this. Bridal party gals will be wearing dark green for the wedding.


I found this beautiful dark green maxi skirt that I’m considering for our engagement photos. Is that like a faux pas or something? Wearing your wedding colours for the engagement shoot?


I’m one note apparently 😜

    fyi: my FH and I both wore hints of blue in our photos. our bridesmaids will be wearing royal blue dresses, the groomsmen will have royal blue ties.

    Definitely fine. Your engagement photos don't have to have anything or everything to do with the wedding. They are simply just a way to celebrate and memorialize this exciting and special time in your life! You can do whatever and wear whatever you want!

    That sounds nice! I don't think anyone will look at your engagement photos and be like OH MY GOODNESS, SHE WORE THE SAME COLOURS!

    Wear something you like, that makes you feel good and that you're confident in!

    I've never heard anything about wearing wedding colours for your engagement session. I think you should wear what you feel comfortable in (and look good in!)

    I think you can wear whatever you want! If you like it then go for it! May even make the photos feel extra special in the end.
