Dress Duels: Belt or No Belt?

Cliodhna, on January 6, 2020 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 17

Belts are a great way to add some pizzazz to a wedding day look and accentuate your curves. Are you on-board with the belt trend, or do you prefer the beltless look?

I decided to do a belt with the dress I picked, it added something to it. Perhaps if I decided on a different dress I wouldn’t have added a belt.

Definitely getting a belt. Our colors are pink & green so I'm getting an embroidered belt with pink flowers & vines with leaves.

Depends on the dress but I would choose a dress with no belt.

It really depends on the dress. If it is plain and has a natural spot for a belt then yes, but I wouldn't add one to a dress if it didn't need one

I'm not a fan of belts especially for the bridal gown and bridal party. But that's for how I'd like my wedding to look and that's also based on the dresses we've chosen

I didn't like any belts when I tried on dresses, but mine has a built in belt with some sparkle around the waist

Personally I prefer no belt, but I agree depends on the dress style. I'm a sucker for lace and floral patterns

I dont think I want a belt. I like the sleeker look of not having one.

It depends on the dress and your height. I went belly because I’m short regardless 😛

It really depends on the dress. For some dresses it would chop up the lines of the dress or be overkill if the dress is already blingy/busy. For other dresses it accentuates a thin waist and adds a pop of colour or bling to a simpler dress.

I love belts! My dress didn't need a belt since it was already blingy, but I would've gotten one if I went with my 2nd choice dress!

No belt. I generally find belts a weird interruption on a dress. I like a clean line all the way down.

Definitely depends on the dress. A belt would look weird on mine, so no belt!

If it's to help accentuate the figure then I'm all for belts. But I'm not into the glitzy stuff, so my dress will have a satin sash belt

Belt if the dress needs it - but they don't always need it. Like my dress has beading and sparkle so it doesn't need a belt. Plus there are some dresses that look better plain.
