    Both.
Due to the current circumstances and us splitting our wedding into an elopement this year and a celebration/re-do next year, I had to get a second dress. My first one was in limbo and needed way too many alterations to be done in time.
The one for the big do next year is going to have a cape that acts as a train, even though the dress itself doesn't. Similar to the picture below. The elopement dress is tea length, so no train there.

I will be getting a bustle. But, the longer the train, the heavier the bustle, the harder it is to dance!

Have the seamstress add a bustle to lift up your train during the reception.

I didn't think I wanted a train, but my dress had one and I loved how it looked in pictures.

I just added a bustle so it was out of the way during the reception.

Mine does not have one. Although I really love the look of it, it broke my heart watching my girlfriend's beautiful gown get dirty as she shuffles around for photos during her wedding. I picked a dress that I love without the train. I would do a cathedral veil if I want to achieve a similar look. A veil is much easier to handle than a big dress.

I used to think no train, mostly because I used to hate bustles, but it turns out I just hate certain bustles. Some are gorgeous, and those have turned me on to trains, all the way!

Train! Nothing too, too long though. I still want to be able to dance later.

A train for sure; it's what makes it a wedding dress!

No train! I can barely walk on a good day without tripping over my own two feet so no point in making my wedding day more difficult by adding a train lol. I cant even deal with a full length dress.
Also our wedding photos will be taken in a local park in the forest so a train just wouldnt work well walking through there...

I love the look of a train for a dress, but I didn't want a crazy long one that I'd be tripping over all night. Just a shorter train, something to add a little more "wow" to the dress!

I chose my dress yesterday and actually ended up opting for a dress with no train. I just found that the dresses that I tried with trains were way too heavy and the one I ended up choosing feels light and easy to dance in. That being said, choosing a dress with no train came as a surprise to me, since I always pictured myself in a dress that had one! Just goes to show that you can never tell!

I like the look of a train, but I don't like how it gets dirty and picks up everything. Also, it's easy for someone to step on it and that could make for some interesting photos! LOL. I think I would choose NO train.

I do have a train on my dress. It's nothing too dramatic, but I think it will look nice in photos.
