Dress Decisions: Sleeves or Sleeveless?

Lynnie, on October 23, 2017 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 23

Don't forget about the top of the dress! Does your dress have sleeves? Or are you going sleeveless?

I thought I wanted sleeves till I tried on my dress! I am going to find a bolero as the lounge in our venue is cold but I'm so pleased, plus I love my back so I get to show it off

Sleeveless! It was about the only thing I was 100% sure of when starting dress shopping and for both my original wedding dress and my elopement dress - V-neck and sweetheart halter, respectively.
I'm built like an amazon (broad/muscle-y in the chest shoulder area) so I want to so it off! Also, I know I would just feel restricted by the sleeves all day movement-wise.

I originally and still do love the idea of sleeves! However the dress I ended up with is strapless. So did not think that would be my style by the dress fit like a glove. It also has a beautiful and unique lace overlay that can come on or off.

I like the look of sleeves but I chose a sleeveless. I would feel too constricted in the dress if the sleeves were too tight.

For most dresses I prefer sleeveless, though I've seen some gorgeous and delicate lace sleeved dresses that are tooooo pretty.

I wanted straps but the dress I like is strapless. I'm not going to add straps to it.

I love sleeves but they don't love me. So straps are more for me!

This was another thing I thought I knew 100%. I went in thinking that I wanted full sleeves, but ended up with a sleeveless (not strapless) dress!

Sleeveless doesn't mean strapless. I had a literal sleeveless dress (not me in the picture).

I like sleeves but they didn't suit me. I didn't think I would like strapless but I loved it!

I could have gone either way on this! I knew I had to have straps at the bare minimum but I also didn't want to get hot - so I went sleeveless (with straps)!
