Doing or Ditching: Something old, new, borrowed, and blue?

My something old is a necklace from my Grandma.

My something new is my dress.

My something borrowed is TBD but I'm thinking it's going to be an anklet from my sister.

My something blue is going to be my garter because my fiance found a Toronto Maple Leafs garter that he really liked.

Doing, but more by coincidence than intention. My "something old" and "something borrowed" is my great grandmother's cameo pin from her wedding in 1895! My "something new" and "something blue" are my pearl and moonstone earrings.

Not doing! Everything I have is new

I am totally keeping this one! It's fun and I want to do it. One of our wedding colours is blue, so it'll make that part easier too. I haven't figured out what the others are going to be unless the wedding dress itself can be the "new"

This was one tradition I really wanted to keep, it is fun.

Yes the old a pearl necklace from my Oma, something borrowed not sure yet what that will be blue garter belt with my grooms favorite hockey team on it, or what will be new. Probably charms they work

Blue: My Shoes

No six pence in the shoe, not going that far.

Doing! my dress is my new, my old is a pearl necklace that my grandma gave to me when I graduated high school ( which she bought when I was born and waited to give it to me!!) my borrowed will be broches for my bouquet, my cousin has a sixpence for my shoe , but I don't have my something blue yet.

Ditching. Everything I am wearing is new, just how it worked out. No one offered me to borrow anything. I have nothing old. I could wear blue underwear but without the other two whatever

Doing! If I can think of something unique as a blue! The other three were filled very naturally!

I think I am unintentionally doing most of this haha I am wrapping my grandmothers pearls around my bouquet, new is my dress, don't have something borrowed, and I have a blue sapphire in one of my earrings

I’m doing this. My old are my in-law’s Greek crowns, my New is my dress, my borrowed is my mom’s pearl necklace, my blue are my shoes.

Did it. It wasn’t intentional though! But blue was one of our wedding colours and my veil had been my moms so that knocked off old and borrowed!

I feel like I’m ditching all of the traditions. Ditching this one.

I was nearly there without even trying - my dress and shoes were new, and grandma's necklace covered something old and something borrowed. I wasn't worried about something blue, but the morning of the wedding my MOH/sister-in-law lent me her sapphire ring to cover it.

No sixpence in the shoe... the shoes were open sandals so that wouldn't have worked even if we wanted to do it!

Ditching! It's not really a thing in my culture, so it was never on my radar.

Will be doing! Something old will be a family ring my late stepfather gave to my mom (tied in my booquet), something new will be my shoes, something borrowed will be my veil (MoH viel) and something blue will by my earrings! I have always loved this tradition.

I will be doing it. I will do old (a bracelet he bought me when we started dating) new dress, blue shoes and I’ll have to borrow something lol
