Doing or Ditching: Sleeping separately the night before the wedding?

We'll be sleeping apart. I'll be sleeping at the hotel hosting our wedding the night before, and my hotel room is going to be the bridesmaid prep room the day of.

Sleeping separately as tradition

We struggled with our decision on this one for awhile. We both sleep better when we sleep together but we do like the idea of keeping this tradition. In the end we agreed that we will keep with the tradition so I am going to sleep in my MOH's room the night before.

Ditching! We'll have been together for a decade by the wedding day, and I've slept without him often enough for deployments, courses, etc. Neither one of us wants to sleep separately the night before.

Doing! I’ll be staying at the hotel with my MOH and he’ll be staying at our house with his family

We will be doing this one! He’s getting ready at a local hotel the day of and has the room booked for day before and after, so we thought , why not?!

Ditching, we slept at our house and both got ready at the house as well.

We haven't fully decided yet. We're both pro-ditch, but we have superstitious parents

Ditching. We have the bridal suite the night before. Actually I think its super cute to get to wake up next to each other on the day.

We will be together the night before but in separate rooms ( I could use some serious beauty sleep without snoring). First looks will happen the next afternoon before the ceremony.

We have been living together for 4+ years now so its not like we are moving in together after our wedding. We also have an airbnb booked from the Friday-Monday to enjoy time away together before and after the wedding, its about 30 minutes from our venue and 20 minutes from home.

We also are doing first look prior to the ceremony so why should we have to avoid each other in the morning when we wake up? (:

We are not doing this. We have a hotel for 2 nights. I might surprise him with a masseuse the morning of the wedding. Get a couple massage before all the running around begins.

He will go to his friends place in the afternoon when I have to start getting ready.

We are mostly doing this so that a few out of towners that can't afford hotels can take over our apartment.

Doing this one... we don't live together yet, because of our super old-fashioned families, so we couldn't ditch this tradition even if we wanted to lol

I do! I like the idea of not seeing each other until I walk down the aisle. The build up will make it better!

I like the idea of spending the night separate, but as others have said having kids may change that. If he's not home then I have four kids to get to bed alone and four to get moving in the morning.

Maybe, I'll go away and leave him home.

Doing, but not because of tradition but because it's easier. We both have airbnbs with our bridal party and as our ceremony starts at 10.30 the girls gotta get started on hair and make up really early. We also made sure that we're staying somewhere close to our venue

Ideally I would like to do this and not see each other till I walk down the aisle but with 2 kids and our ceremony not starting till 7 that is probably not going to work.

YES! I am very excited to keep this tradition. We dont live together yet so it wont be hard but it'll be fun I think haha

We are doing our rehearsal dinner, and then will separate until 2pm the next day for our first look!

We will be apart that night. Not even for superstitious reasons, I just think it'll be fun to have a slumber party with my bridesmaids!

Undecided! I'd like to uphold this tradition, but we've lived together for almost two years now. We have a few more sleeps til we have to have it figured out!
