Day of Timeline- help

Emma, on September 7, 2020 at 12:06 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 6
Hi all! I am struggling to come up with a timeline for our wedding day. Our date is July 31, 2021 and I Was thinking we’d have the ceremony between 4:30 and 5 pm. I’m lost for the rest of it. Any suggestions or advice is welcome, we are the first of our friends to get married so we haven’t seen many wedding timelines until now.

Also keep in mind time for pictures. Depends on where and when these will take place. Allow for enough time to travel between places and think about lighting challenges if pictures are outside.

Given the time of the wedding can help to know how long you need to get your hair and make up done before along with getting ready shots of the family or your mom alone. MOHs and bridesmaids should be included if your considering the time ahead and with your full wedding party and husband. Give some time for first look too if your husband is wanting pictures with you.

After the ceremony, your timeline can reflect on what you feel is in order of importance from the Grand entrance to the dancing part. Time reflection of cake cutting, first dance, mother/son and daughter/father dance, speeches of 2 minutes each. The dinner service or buffet should be somewhere you can break up some of the dances and speeches to avoid guests feeling overwhelmed.

Hey, I posted my simplified draft wedding day timeline in this thread
    https://community.weddingwire.ca/forums/wedding-day-timeline--t43297

I used other timelines from the weddingwire community, as well as articles from Google to help build my day of timeline. Other then that I haven't had any help, so I wouldn't say I'm experienced at this. My day of ( really 3 months before) coordinator will review my timeline closer to the wedding.
I have a more detailed tentative timeline that I could send privately to you if you want to review! Just send me a message.
