Change wedding colors

Amanda, on September 3, 2018 at 12:34 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 13
Has anyone change the colour theme to their wedding, if so how many times? We are getting married Thanksgiving weekend, the FH loves a medium teal colour and I was toying with grey but now that I'm thinking I am really liking the burnt orange colour. Thankfully we have not ordered anything as of yet. We did book our vendor with teal and grey but I'm hoping it's not too late to change it. Also now looking for some rustic decorations ideas, yes I'm looking on pinterest right now.

I went from neutral, to blush and gold, to slate and copper...now we’ve settled with a modern/minimalist twist on tropical decor and colors (Pink flowers and massive green leaves with gold accents) hahaha. I had to stop looking at mood boards and color inspirations and just stick to one, just for peace of mind haha.

Our colours are constantly changing to my FMIL's dismay. She thinks we need a theme and colour scheme, while I don't really care lol.

My jr. Bridesmaids/flower girl is my youngest daughter who will be 8, she wants a different colour from the rest. "Mommy I need to have a different colour because I don't have boobies yet" her words not mine lol

We're colour twins (teal and purple/plum), but I'm totally going for the peacock vibe lol! Smiley tongue

I have changed my mind SEVERAL times. part of the reason being I have a junior bridesmaid. and the 1st dress color I liked doesn't come in JR bridesmaid.

at this point i'm still not sold on a particular color. have a few I like. will make a decision in January when the girls go dress shopping.

it does help that decoration wise I want white, silver, light (mini lights or candlelight). so my dresses can change.

This is the colour of teal I am using for my wedding (Sept 29) I love all the rich colours. We decided to offset this boldness of the teal with rose gold/blush.

    Something like this...

Orange and champagne colours are a nice match if changing your choices and for the theme.

I don’t think changing your colours would be a big deal to the vendors, especially since one colour is staying the same. Just let your vendor know.

As for rustic, I am also over burlap but there is still lace and wood which look really nice.

Just one of the pictures that I pinned that I thought you may like if you don't already have it pinned on your own wedding board. Smiley smileChange wedding colors 2

I don't mind a little bit of burlap but everything seems to be burlap boo.

I'm loving teal and burnt orange. And I'm thinking it will work easier for decorating. Ha ha

We've change our colours from teal and plum to teal, plum, orange, and burgundy, down to teal, plum and orange. We want the teal and plum as they are our favourite colours but just the two of them give off a peacock vibe which I want to avoid Smiley tongue

As for rustic - I'm in the same boat. I am trying to avoid burlap but not many other options out there that I've come across.
