I’m looking for ideas for a card box. Since we aren’t doing gifts or a guestbook of any kind, it’s pretty much going to be all alone on a table with some decor. It’s also important to me that it isn’t just a box or basket, I don’t want anyone to be able to reach in and take cards out. Any pictures of your own DIY cards or ideas would be great!

    I haven't decided what I'll be doing, but I like the idea of a cake card box since we aren't doing a cake. Just found this pic off google, but something like this in our colours (the round one, not the square one):

    It has the perfect size slot in the panels that will allow cards to easily slid in! Trust me that was something I was nervous about, I wanted the box to be sealed completely! And we actually got this as a sympathy flower gift after his grandmother passed, the chest was lined with plastic and used as the flower pot. But I feel like Michaels has something very similar to this.

    Where did you get the chest? Is the chest just going to sit open? This might be paranoid, but I feel weird about an open basket or chest where people can reach back in after dropping cards.

    We have this wooden chest we are using for cards. We plan to get a nice "Cards" sign, and floral decorations for the table with it. If you're just having the card box then you could do the same. Have a small table with flowers or other decor that ties into your theme, then get a sign saying "cards" and have the box in the centre of the table.
