Barn Weddings: In or Out?

I personally like a barn wedding. I think they seem like a more DIY type of wedding though.

Out. I prefer something more formal and elegant.

On their way out I think. As a Country girl who's not doing a barn wedding as the theme is super overdone in my family- I won't be sad to see them go honestly.

For me they're out.

Though we love spending time outdoors, my FH's father was sharecropper, so it's tough for us to connect wedding celebration with hard labour.

I’d say they are in. I wouldn’t personally have a barn wedding but if you can find the right barn, that’s clean, then I say go for it.

In, I don't love rustic weddings but a non rustic wedding in a barn looks so nice

In in in! We are doing a barn wedding that is mostly outside in the fall and it's breathtaking. My partner and I are super outdoorsy and we go hiking and camping all the time, so we know it fits perfectly with who we are! Love love love!

Out. I love rustic elements and ours will have lots of them but these have always been too much for me.

In! We are getting married in a barn. We were looking for a rustic look and there were no venues that had the specific look we were going for and then we found this barn and on the outside it's not really rustic but the inside is absolutely gorgeous! It has everything we wanted in a venue. We hate the typically ballroom, banquet hall, vinyard/golf course thing... that's so boring.

Out. I'm having a similar style but it's a pavilion and doesn't even resemble a barn so... I still like rustic, but not the actual barn. The only time I like it is if the family owns the barn. If you didn't grow up on a farm then why are you getting married in a barn??

I think it's overstayed its welcome, I didn't understand the trend much when it started. I rode horses for a big chunk of my life so when I think of barns, I think of mud and manure - definitely not things you want at a wedding when you're in white lol

I think they’re out, they’re quite overdone now. If you’re a genuine farmer and farms are a very important part of your life or something then I think it’s different, but for people who just do it for the aesthetic I’m over it. Wow I feel so snobby lol

LOVE barns! I wish I could have found a barn near where we're getting married, but a golf course will have to do!
