Bachelorette ideas

Stephanie, on March 21, 2019 at 20:02 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
Okay ladies!!!! Unfortunately my MOH lives out of town so my bridesmaids are looking for MY guidance to plan my bachelorette and I’m totally unsure for ideas! I was thinking “at home spa” for mani/pedis and do drinks/dinner. Or maybe something crazy like pole dancing ?! (But really - unsure if any of us have enough arm strength for that - haha!) I am looking for ideas/suggestions!!!! Ottawa, Ontario area!

    We went to a dinner theatre for mine! It worked out that the show was about a wedding!
    My friend played some games at her house then went bowling.
    Another friend went to the zoo.
    I planned a night at Niagara Falls for my friend. We went to a play, went out for dinner and drinks, manicures at the hotel. The next morning, we explored the city a bit.

    We're going for dinner then to a salsa club! I've been there before and loved it, so I'm really excited!

    I love the at-home spa idea, along with drinks/dinner! We'll probably end up doing something similar since we can't really get together until a few days before the wedding. We won't be doing anything crazy because of the tight deadline, but it'll still be fun!

    We are having a super chill girls night but bridal style! My sister is planning it and she is so excited. She's rented a Lakehouse for the wedding week (she's from out of town) and we are going to drink lots of wine, play some bridal shower games and just have a fun relaxing but exciting evening. I'm so excited for it! We have wine related wedding shirts, matching bride/bridesmaids sun glasses and a much of of bridal shower/bachelorette things! Maybe you can do something similar.

    If you're not sure about what you want, do you know what you don't want? Starting with your 'nay' list may give your or your friends a better idea on what to plan.

    Depending on when you're planning on having your bachelorette, you could :

    - Go for a hike in the Gatineau Park or, go for hot yoga or spin in the AM;

    - Followed by a quick brunch, either at home or out (think Mimosa or Caesar bar and waffles!!!);

    - Getting ready together + games before heading out for dinner and drinks later on.

    If you do decide on going pole dancing, don't do it too close to your wedding day. We did that for a friend's bachelorette, which was a week before the wedding... It was loads of fun, but I had to wear concealer on my arms and legs to hide the bruises hahaha.

    Pole dancing classes are on my bucket list! That would be so fun to do even if everyone doesn’t have the arm strength.
    I like the at home spa idea. You can do dinner and drinks afterwards too.
    Are there any escape rooms around you? That would be a cool group thing to do!
