Carina, on May 29, 2017 at 23:16 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 15
Is candy or chocolate too cheap as a wedding favours? Of course i will buy some nice paper box and put it in. Any ideas for low budget wedding favours? Thanks

I haven't done them yet so I will let you know as the date gets closer. I am going to do a simple cookie mix with different options of candies in there.
I am putting them in mason jars, so the only cost I will have is the mason jars and the ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, chocolate chips or other candies)

You can look on Pinterest for party favour ideas in the price bracket you are looking for! I've seen cute, wrapped, Rice Krispie treats, matchbooks (which i wish more people would do! Keep running out of matches at home! Back in the day you would always get matchbooks at weddings! I had a tin full of wedding matches and now I've run out. I don't even think I would know where to buy them! Lol) Candles are always inexpensive. Garden seeds to plant would you cute. Unless your guests aren't gardeners Smiley smile I used a gold looking bottle stopper for my engagement favour as we are doing a champagne brunch and they were about 1.60 US each. I ordered on a US website and with the exchange and duties it was still cheaper than ordering on a CDN site.

I think it's a great idea. We went to the Lindt outlet in Brampton and were able to get the 3 packs of the Lindor chocolates then added our own labels/sleeves. People loved it and it cost very little!

DIY chocolate goes a long way, or fudge. Get a mold, some chocolate and some cute paper from bulk barn!

Candy or Chocolate is great! I have had friends on a strict budget do a DIY candy bar with little candy bags that they put labels on with the wedding info on and had a roll of ribbon and scissors people were invited to make their own bags of their favorites. I think they did bulk candy of their favorites from when they were kids. You can do a lot for not a lot of $$. We are doing plantable favours from Botanical Paperworks Smiley smile

We are making a spice rub for our guests. We will buy small mason jars in bulk online and all ingredients will come from Bulk Barn. Simone is right that there are tons of ideas out there especially if you don't mind a little elbow grease!

Hi Corina,Candies and chocolate are fine and are not considered cheap. We decided on making customized magnets for wedding favors as a keepsake for guests. There are other options like coasters, shot glasses etc. you can decide what type of favours to give based on your budget and I'm sure your guests will appreciate whatever favors you give them. Smiley smile
    Hope this helps.
