All The Small Things - What decision did you make in the shortest time?

I think that we did not want a traditional wedding with guests. In fact, I don't think we ever discussed it, we just both knew.

We had been talking about getting married long before my FH proposed. We already had the wedding party picked out, we knew we wanted an October wedding and I knew the colour theme.

The date, we had some limitations when setting the date so it was fairly easy.

We already had a few decisions decided pre engagement but jumped on the venue the fastest! Engaged Saturday, emailed the venue Sunday, locked it down a few days later. The venue and date were non negotiable so made sure it was locked in asap. The event coordinator was very amused when she asked us if we were enjoying our first few months of being engaged ha ha ha.

The date, really. Our friend has the same date and when she explained her reasoning, we were all sold on it.

I think the wedding party...we knew who we wanted before we even got engaged. After that I would say the venue...we saw it online one day, saw it two days later, and booked it the following day.

Picking the date was the easiest part! and then we planned around having that date - which is kind of backwards haha

The venue was it for us.

Prior to getting engaged, my fiancé and I decided we didn't want to have a bridal party (and discussed potentially who we'd invite when we got married), so either one of the two were the fastest/first decisions we made.

Our cake decision was very easy. $300 for a small cutting cake and 120 cupcakes- DEAL.

It was pretty straight forward, as she was highly recommended by some of our friends.

Venue, we had it picked in about three weeks but didn’t book it for another month

Interestingly enough ours was the photographer! My mom had her 2nd wedding not long after we got engaged and the same photographer also did our family photos the summer before! He’s made photos the least stressful part of the day for sure!

The easiest was the venue knowing they had everything we needed at the right cost.

The easiest has been the ceremony readings and songs! We have a book and a few lists to choose from so it narrowed things down super quick for us haha!

Once my FH got my engagement ring, it was decided what my wedding ring would be since it's a set so that?

Colour scheme/theme was something I had picked out right away since I had boards of possible colours on Pinterest years before getting engaged and had recently picked out my favourite so didn't need to think too much on it.

Venue was the quickest decision. And the easiest to make!

Most of our decisions were quick. Dress, venue, photographers were all within the first four. Officiant was a friend of my husband and my sister-in-law offered to do our flowers so those were all quick and easy!

Our rings were super fast to pick out! We found his in 10 min. Lol. We knew right away.

Probably the venue. We had an idea to have it at a restaurant and once we learned this was something they offered we were sold.

I feel like we were very decisive on a lot of decisions. I would like to say that the wedding party was the fastest. We both do not have very close friends (At least not close enough that I would want them in my wedding party) so we chose family as we know they have to be there anyways! That was an easy decision!

The wedding date. We decided on it like right away. It was surprisingly super easy. We knew we wanted warm weather but not too hot. We wanted it to be significant but not take away from any other date. So we choose June 1st. Weather should hopefully be nice. June is our anniversary month, dating is the 19th, engagement is 18th so keeping it in June allows us to just kinda mash all anniversaries into one lol

Our photographer. My cousin recently used her and I knew I wanted to use her too. I had heard so many stories from couples who didn’t like their photographers, that I wanted to play it safe.

I guess the wedding party because my FH is 28 and has thought about it before - and for me I only had trouble finding one last girl and it was between two so I wasn't worried because it was one or the other.

Most of our decisions have been relatively quick.

The wedding date was the quickest, followed by the processional and recessional songs.
