Picking your photographer is a huge milestone in the wedding planning experience. I feel that we have made the best choice for us. I don't need two photographers or a million pictures. I do want to have some specific pictures taken. One of my must have pictures will be with our daughter trying on my dress and shoes the day of the wedding. I also want one of our son trying on his dads suit coat and shoes. I do want the typical pictures with everyone as well. I love the thought of having a chance to get pictures of family looking their best. I also want to have pictures before the ceremony on a horse and carriage ride in NOTL. I think the old fashioned type stores in the background will be amazing.


Are there any stylized photos that are super important on your list? Did you give your photographer free range? Did you have a comprehensive list of everything you wanted? Did they bring in ideas you never thought of?
Anyone who is already married what is your one favourite picture?
Did meeting with your photographer get you excited about your wedding?

    There are a lot of ideas/lists on pinterest for photos. I'm sure your photographers will have lots of ideas too

    Hmm i havent thought about what photos i want on the wedding day itself. ill have to put together a list for my photographer. we had our e shoot with our photographers and they were amazing we absolutely loved them! we spent an arm and leg but well worth it!!

    Our photographer will mostly have free range on photos but my mom, sisters and I are really close so it's actually really important to me to get a good number of getting ready photos with them. Meeting with our photographer last winter was the first time I really started envisioning how the day would go so it got me super excited.

    I don't know the difference between styles; I wanted someone with creative shots. I wanted two photographers to capture each of us seeing each other for the first time since we weren't doing a first look. I also wanted photos with all the guests. All in all, very pleased with our photos! Here is my favourite:

    You can always snap a picture of your dress hanging! Just in case....I'm sure itll look better on you anyway. I hope you get all the pics you want! So nervous about the timeline....no matter what you prepare for ugh

    Because FH and I have chosen to not see each other the day of the wedding until the walk down the aisle and because we don't want our guests eating dinner too late waiting on us to take photos I am very organized and particular about photos. I trust our photographers very much, but when it comes to photos including the two of us that we need to take during cocktail hour we don't have a ton of time and there are certain photos I really want and don't want to miss out on. if time allows and all our requested photos are checked off the list then our photographers can have free reign. I also don't want to waste their time with photos I know that I don't want (for example, I don't want a shot of my dress hanging before I put it on so I told them such). Probably one of the most important photos for me is getting a first touch photo.

    My pictures actually surpassed my expectations. I really went into it thinking I just wanted a few nice pictures of us. I didn't want to spend a fortune. We had our photographer for 1 hour.
    I was so pleased with the results. I think he captured our ceremony so well.

    Definitely want to have some kind of plan going in. Nothing worse than thinking back to what we should have done. I think you got quite a few beautiful shots.

    Our photographer was amazing in how he got ideas by going into pinterest board to see our ideas of pictures. I wanted as many pictures as possible given that its done once in a lifetime for the value given in the package.

    We did a venue walk-through with our photographer and she got lots of ideas on her own!

    I knew I wanted a group shot with all our guests, and capture my DH's reaction as I walked down the aisle. Other than that, we weren't too picky on any particular photographs we wanted so we gave her full creative range.

    One of my favourites is the one with our entire wedding party making gross faces as I kiss my DH:
