Well, Iโ€™m a Project Manager by trade and am uber organized so although some think Iโ€™m nuts for starting to plan our wedding over 2 yrs early, since we both work full time and have a 4 yr old, I know the time will fly by. Weโ€™re planning on buying a house in the spring of 2020 so weโ€™ve decided to hold off on putting down any down payments for vendors until our house is in the works, but Iโ€™m hoping to be able to do a lot of the ground work now so when that happens we can just move forward quickly (at least with the Big 5). As a blessing and a curse, my groom has said the wedding details are all up to me, โ€œI will go with whatever you want, youโ€™re the one whoโ€™s been planning this since you were 5โ€, he just wants to have a full vest (not a โ€œbibโ€), no cheese on the entrรฉe and for the venue to serve Labatt Blue (his beverage of choice). Besides, heโ€™s only been to 1 wedding whereas Iโ€™ve been to all of my friendsโ€™ weddings (and some of their second weddings) so he doesnโ€™t understand why itโ€™s important to choose the colour and finalize the guest list. Weโ€™re both in our 40s, so our guest list is smaller and just want to have a great time without breaking the bank. We both respect that a wedding, although an important day, is just the first day our marriage, which lasts the rest of our life. So any advice on how to save a dime without compromising a great day, would be greatly appreciated.

Happily married 🎉
