The ceremony is at St Josaphats Ukranian Cathedral and the reception is at the Santa Maria Goretti Center. We will be doing a traditional "Buying Ceremony" where my fiance will have to barter with my parents for the right to marry me. This whole thing will probably take an hour and would occur before the actual church ceremony. The church ceremony itself will probably be about 2 hours long as it will be in both Ukrainian language and English. Then in the reception there will be the classic entrance with the Ukranian traditional “Bread and Salt Ceremony”, before the reception line. Then there are the Shumka dancers that will be performing, then dinner, speeches, at least 3 different first dances. Also we will be doing a Dutch cake blessing ceremony which will happen after the traditional cake cutting but before late lunch. The night caps off with a traditional Ukrainian send off dance that I will be doing. Downstairs in the kids area as well there is going to be a separate kids venue with crafts, movies, an obstacle course, and we are thinking a hypnotist or a clown.
