FYI we had no issues at all with our Ikea pillar candles. We used LED tealights for our yummi votives though (off marketplace) as you couldn't see in them anyway.

Any chance of asking the company who they ship with to save the cost or arrange a pick up if you're going to make a trip down that way a day to get the candles if you feel the shipping is expensive.

Shipping prices are not set internally so they can't offer discounts. It'd be like demanding FedEx or Canada Post to send you stuff for cheaper.

I suggest looking for folks selling their left over wedding candles. I found tea lights, pillars and tapers (all Yummi) on Marketplace for way cheaper and no shipping; all unused! It was a lottery win for sure. Keep an eye out and you might get lucky. Plus, it saves them from the landfill!

I got email updates for a year hoping for great sales and discounts but no luck on their very popular items. They don't need to. It makes sense they charge for shipping though given how heavy these items are and how quickly it adds up. Shipping unfortunately isn't cheap.
