Would you rather... have no control over the menu or no control over the playlist?

Lynnie, on October 29, 2018 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding reception 0 20

Sometimes you just have to delegate!! Which would you rather lose control over?

Would you rather... have no control over the menu or no control over the playlist?

Next Question: Would you rather... splurge on your ring or your honeymoon?

No playlist. I'm a go with the flow person for music... You can play pop, classic rock, country, whatever... But IMMA PICK OUT MA FOOD! A good DJ will play good music whether I have input or not... but the menu at a wedding is something people notice, and remember.

Agreed. The guests would find a way to have a blast with the music regardless.

The food is such an important part of the reception...so definitely go with no control over the playlist.

No control over the menu. The dinner is only an hour, the dancing lasts much longer lol.

No control over the playlist. Which I didn’t. My husband was in charge of that!

No control over the menu. I like basically all foods, I really am not picky about what I eat! Music makes or breaks a party though.

The playlist! I trust our DJ to keep the party going but since we have a mixed background I want to ensure the food we select will work for both!

No control over the menu, the venue has amazing food and I trust them completely.

But if I hear songs I hate at my wedding....

    This is a hard one.

Music is a big thing to us and is a big part of our lives. So not having control of that would not be fun at all.

I fully trust my venue with the food. I know everything they have is good as we have been there for a couple weddings and events

No control over the menu. My bridesmaids dad is the caterer so I trust him fully. Plus he's an incredible chef so I know whatever he makes is going to be amazing! But my fiance and I don't like a lot of music genres.. especially these days.. so we'd rather be able to have control over that.

This is a tough one, for sure. I trust my vendors 100%.
Since I have to choose though, I'll go with the playlist.

No control over the menu. I trust that our venue would pick and make good food even if we didn't have any input. Also, my fiance and I aren't exactly too familiar with or into the biggest current top 40 hits so to just let a DJ play without our guidance would probably mean we wouldn't even know most of the music being played. Or, on the flipside they'd play all the stereotypical wedding/party songs and I am very particular about our wedding not being cliche or clubby or like a high school prom. Also, I love country music and not many DJ's would play that without being specifically told so.

No control over the playlist. I really can't see somebody blasting opera music or heavy metal and even if they did - I would just not play music then.... But music is one of the biggest things that guests will remember from your wedding. You don't mess with the food.
