Surprisingly, the more I think about it I'd prefer the proposal. They couldn't do it during any of the big moments like first dance or I would go bridezilla on their butt!

I think I'd actually enjoy it if they came to me before hand and let me scheme with them. It could be fun.

A bad toast would be so embarrassing, I would not mind a proposal at my wedding. I dont think it takes the attention away from us. We are still going to have an awesome day

A horrible toast would give you something to laugh about forever! If someone proposed I'd be ok with that too. As long as the timing was right for it and it was someone I was really close to.

Horrible wedding toast. Weddings are not a venue to propose. I get one day, and it's all mine, lol. We are both only children so I know he has my back on this one Smiley winking

    Horrible Toast 100%.

My FH proposed to me and by the end of that very same day, my best guy friend of 10 years proposed to his girlfriend of 7 weeks so he could "share this exciting time with me". I was annoyed knowing that he took that moment from me, I couldn't imagine how upset I would be if it had happened at my actual wedding.

I'd rather the terrible toast. You can sit through the embarrassment and drink extra champagne and forget about it by the time the night's over... but no one us going to forget when Harry proposed to Jane at your wedding. That would absolutely dampen my mood.

    Definitely a bad toast!

Interestingly, I mentioned to my FH how awful and tacky it would be for a person to propose at our wedding and he didn’t think much of it. I can’t relate!

I'm almost counting on a bad toast lol. As for a proposal, since our celebration will be small - just 30-50 friends and family - I think I would be ok with a proposal if I was asked first.

I would hope neither but a horrible toast, nobody will remember the speeches everyone will remember a proposal.

A horrible toast. I wouldn't want someone else to steal my day and make it their own. A horrible toast can be laughed off and forgotten in the grand scheme of things

A horrible toast. I've always hated hearing when people say they got engaged at someone else's wedding. Way to steal their thunder. After all that hard work, time and money that goes into planning a wedding, I would be mad!

Proposal. As long as it wasn’t during the ceremony, or our first dance, I don’t think I’d care

If it was planned thoughtfully and at the end of the night- a proposal. But if not, then definitely a bad toast! Haha people will be getting drunk anyways so I wouldn't be surprised! I've seen them before! Still from the heart is what counts lol

Horrible toast for sure! Not to sound selfish or like a bridezilla, but that day is meant to be about the bride and groom.

I'm not really sure, maybe a proposal? But only if I knew about it ahead of time, as bridezilla as that sounds.

I would rather have someone propose at my wedding. I think it would be quite romantic to choose that setting but perhaps not in front of everyone.

I would not have any issue with someone proposing at my wedding - it's a celebration of love, if we set the perfect backdrop for your proposal, I think that's a pretty good compliment?

Definitely horrible toast! I agree with some of the other brides that proposing at someone else's wedding is a tad tacky and quite disrespectful to the happy couple.
