No. I would not go over my budget. We have planned our budget very carefully and I wouldn't want to put more stress on us because I went over budget. That being said my FH would say that if I loved it then we can figure out a way for me to have it. I am lucky enough that my mum is paying for my dress and I most certainly didn't exceed get budget and was able to put "dress money" towards other things.

I'm pretty frugal so Ive been shopping around and I'm sure I can find something within my budget. Fiancé said buy whatever I want but I'm sure it will be beautiful without spending above.

My budget is very low because I'm planning on getting a second hand dress. But if that doesn't pan out I'll have to up it considerably!

Nope, our budget is already pretty tight, so I would not want to do anything to make matters worse!

I would not as it would be more hassle and stress. I stayed within my budget and I am happy with my dress.

I didn't... The first dress I wanted was $500 over budget so I kept shopping and found one that was $300 under budget... The one that I bought suits me better than the one I wanted originally... The first one made me look like a princess the one I bought makes me look like a Queen.

If it was by a little bit yes, but nothing too crazy! My FH also would tell me to get whatever makes me happy regardless of the price!

If it was a little over, probably. My husband is the type to be like "if it makes you happy, do it!" so he probably would have been find with it if there was a dress I LOVED. I was very fortunate that my mom paid for my dress so I was able to put the money I budgeted towards other items.

I think it would depend HOW much over... double my budget? ABSOLUTELY NOT! A couple hundred? Ya sure, no big deal!

My dress came in right on budget, but alterations were more than I was expecting

Yup- I did! I knew there was some flexibility in my budget anyway- so I let myself get a little out of control! I spent about 400$ more than I had planned....and that is before alterations Smiley surprise
