Winter Brides

My sister did a winter wedding. early January. she rented a fake fur stole to wear for photos outside. she also wore her hunters for under her dress for the outside photos.

where she got married has this beautiful stamped concrete patio. and they were gracious and shoveled it for her.
the best thing I can say for a winter wedding. be prepared for people not to travel due to weather. and be prepared that there will be some last minute cancellations due to illness.

Hmm.. Red can be a beautiful choice. What may have influenced who you first saw in the photo could have been the style of the dresses themselves; did the bridesmaid’s dress have more detail like a belt or beads while the bride’s dress was more plain? As well as the posing of group, was the bride in the foreground, or maybe in a shadow? A good wedding photographer will ensure the bride and groom are the main focus of the photograph!

I do photography for weddings and recently did a shoot in February. If outdoor photos are a must for you (which they truly are stunning !) I suggest scarves/shawls for the ladies, then men should be okay in their suits. Hand warmers can be purchased at Canadian tire (usually about $8 for 10-12 pk) they’re small enough that you likely wouldn’t see them in photos. And flat shoes, because no one wants to slip on ice in heels. Other than that, with all the excitement and a drink or two you’ll be good to go!

We have a few areas undercover at the venue for the pics but also we want most of our pics to be not posed so most of ours are going to come from the reception!
