Hey Ashley I think you could have a subtle necklace if you want to wear one but definitely the sparkles already bring a lot to the dress so I wouldn't add too much. It's so amazing that you'll be able to wear your dress in Jamaica!! Will you carry your dress all the way from Canada?

I was a japanese walolita ice princess for a winterfestival once, so I still have it kicking around my jewelry box.

Emilie, I have purchased my dress already. We are doing a destination and although it is not the typical destination beach wedding dress I fell in love when I tried it on.
There is a ton of sparkle on the dress so I think it would be best without a necklace... what do you think?

At first, I was hoping to order calla lilly with some assortment of purple flowers as my bouquet and calla lilly alone for the bridesmaid / MOH bouquet. However, after asking for some quotes, it might not be as "cost efficient" for me to get them

So I might end up getting purple roses for my bouquets.

As for the centerpieces, I am going to be using hydrageas (hopefully a light purple).

Yes my dress is a sweetheart neckline

It has a jeweled bodice and several layers on the bottom layers.

Thank you for the discussions you created; I will definitely check them out.

Decorations are going alright, just trying to finalize a couple details then I can finally book the decor venue.

With regards to the ceremony, I just need to meet with my officiant in November to see if we "click" then I will know if I need to continue searching.

The next item on the list is finishing up the Save the dates / Invites decor then we can start sending out the save the dates.

Then have to start working on the centerpieces and ordering all our flowers.

I haven't tried anything on yet, that is my project for next weekend with my mom. We have 2 bridal appointments so will see what looks good on me.

Having said that I am drawn to Ballgowns or fuller A-lines with v neck or illusion necklines and straps or cap sleeves. V neckline would work with a necklace depending on the ornamentation on the top of the dress but it won't work for illusions.

We will see what suits me

I bought a necklace and had a matching lapel pin made for FH, but I’m not sure if it will work with my dress. I love the necklace anyways (and it was a great price), so if I don’t end up using it for the wedding, I’ll definitely still wear it! I’m bringing it with me when my dress finally comes in (hopefully next month) to try it on together and see if it will work

Most like I will be wearing a necklace but it all depends on my dress. If I do, I will have to go to s jewelry store to purchase it, as I have a sensitivity to fashion jewelry. My Nicklaus might be a choker style or one that does it's not long in length.
