Hi Sam! I know what you mean! Sometimes it's hard to know the difference! Etiquette would be something like... "Don't make guests pay for their own drinks", it's what we tend to qualify as "manners", while traditions would be like wearing a veil, something blue, etc. But the two are often intertwined as traditions will also influence etiquette and different cultures may follow different etiquettes. Smiley smile Did you find that Canadians and Americans have different ways of approaching etiquette, for instance?

What do you mean by following "etiquette?" Sometimes it's hard to know what is "etiquette" and what is "tradition!"

I believe we are, altho my ceremony and reception will be completely unique to us as I believe they should be to every couple as the day is about them ! but I still will follow new and old traditions and provide an amazing day and evening for my guests and thank them for sharing in our day!

I am also planning to follow etiquiette. My ceremony will follow almost no traditions, and my dinner and reception are totally out of the norm...but I still firmly believe in the etiquette of being a good host, providing appropriately and thanking guests properly.

We will be following etiquette rules. Tradition and etiquette are different things entirely, I am breaking traditions while still following wedding etiquette

For the most part I have been "following wedding etiquette"... However wedding's now a days are very non-traditional and there are so many small things you can do that might not be considered proper wedding etiquette - I definitely have tried to stay on the path of wedding etiquette as I think certain parts of a wedding should remain traditional but there are other things that I think you can change up and some people will tell you it isn't proper wedding etiquette and I have done some of those things!
