Will you do "clink for kisses"?

Joey, on August 13, 2018 at 08:17 Posted in Wedding reception 0 29

It was love that brought everyone to this community, so let's talk about love!

At your reception, are you going to give in to the clinking of glasses and kiss? Are you doing an alternative to clinking glasses, like bells or a kissing menu?

Not clinking, but probably some kind of kissing menu or game or something

Nah, our wedding is so small, they'll be seeing us kiss all night.

I don't want to do any sort of kissing game but I know it is expected so we will figure something out.

No, we will have some sort of game: sing us a love song to make us kiss or demonstrate a kiss that we need to copy, etc.

I doubt we’ll do a kiss tradition. Well probably kiss too much for one to even have a point.

I mean we will probably do a different way of getting us to kiss but if they were to clink enough glasses we would of course give the audience what they want!

We are either doing a kissing menu, OR, we are going to do a "honeymoon" tip jar for kisses. The bigger the tip, the better the kiss. We are "registering" our honeymoon though, so we may name it something else.

Definitely will not have clinking glasses! Not sure if we'll have any alternatives either. I've been to weddings with kissing menus and games, but only a handful of people do them.

I also want to be able to eat at my reception instead of having people come up with something to make us kiss!

The 'clinking' of glasses is actually prohibited at our venue and we're quite happy about it! There won't be any games either.

I hate that noise, so we went with anecdotes instead. It took some time to take off, but once our siblings got going (and encouraged other people to participate), a lot of people followed. Some stories were a little embarrassing, but overall it was a lot of fun. And they made us kiss all night.

Our kissing game was a couple would come up and kiss and we would imitate it! Only one couple did it though!

We won't be doing that. Our venue doesn't allow the clinking of glasses.

Definitely no clinking. I would love to announce it, but my cousin and her husband were so blunt about it at their wedding (had a full-on speech about how there's no clinking, games, and if you want the centerpiece, just take it!) that I don't think I could tell my guests that too.

Nope, not doing anything - we talked about doing a kissing wheel but decided against it. And we'll be announcing that clinking glasses won't work.

My fiancé and I won't be doing "clink for kisses" as our venue is against it; however, I'm looking into kissing bells instead.

Probably a clink of glasses and hopefully people forget that’s what you do. Lol I don’t want to kiss him on demand lol
