Wide feet and flats...

Jacquie, on March 18, 2019 at 11:11 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 6
Hey everyone. I am hoping one of you lovely human beings can help me out. I still have some time before my wedding, but I have been having issues finding shoes. I don't want heals because generally me and my wide feet do not agree with heals so I have been on the hunt for flats that fit wide... I used to never have an issue finding flats that fit but now that it is for my wedding I want them kind of nice/classy and it is proving difficult. I have looked online and I have seen JJ's House and I have looked at the reviews which a lot of them have been for dresses but not shoes. Has anyone ordered from them and if so how was it? Is there any other suggestions for where I can get shoes. I am not apposed to shopping online and I have looked at David's Bridal and they have limited selection in my shoe size. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

If you find ones at DSW you like, if the size is available elsewhere they will ship it to you for free! Smiley smile

Have you tried Addition-Elle or Torrid? Torrid’s a little bit and miss for shoes but I have seen some at the Chinook store. I have looked at CrossIron in ages. Addition-Elle you can usually try on for size and I’ve found some great shoes in-store (Shawnessy and Sunridge) but their online selection is bigger than in-store.

I tried DSW in Crossiron Mills and they had a selection but when I went looking for my size they didn't have it. I have been to two different payless shoes and they were pretty cleaned out. I looked on justfab and while they have a lot of selection none of them appealed to me.

At this point I am trying really hard not to be picky on colour I even started looking at sandles because our wedding is in Aug and our pictures are being taken outside at a beach/waterfall so they are an option. My wedding colours are Navy Blue and Silver so either of those colours or an Ivory.

Hey Jacquie! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

Have you had a chance to look into any of the stores that Brittany suggested?

When you are looking into buying shoes online, look into their return policy. As you are looking for a specific fit and it's for your wedding, you want to make sure they are perfect so it may be an option to buy the shoes online and try them on with your dress. You will know then if they fit you and go with the style of your dress. If not, you can just return them to the store. It may be a good way to find the perfect shoes!

What color shoes are you looking for?

Try DSW maybe? They usually have a large selection.

Also if you can get to payless before they close out.. I know they are cheaper shoes....

But they had really cute glittery flats and lace ones last time I was there. And some of their flats are offered in a wide width.

If neither of those are a go... try looking on justfab. You can filter specifically to wide width options. I don't know if there is a whole lot of options now.. but with spring right around the corner they might update their boutique soon!

    Good Luck! Smiley smile
