Who will hold the rings during your ceremony?

Joey, on April 2, 2018 at 07:54 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 33

Think you've thought of every possible detail about your wedding ceremony? There are a few things many couples forget to consider.

Who will hold the rings during the ceremony? If you have a ring bearer bringing them in, who will he hand them off to, and where will they remain until it's time to exchange them?

You've got the rings up to the front -- now what?!

Best man, or maid of honor for sure. But most likely MOH since she's way more responsible.

The best man. He’s a responsible guy so I’m confident he can handle it.

Our wedding bands were to be held by our Best Man each side. However, it was on our tray that was covered and forgotten until the ring vows. There was a slight pause until I got them and we proceeded onwards with the ceremony.

I don't have a wedding party, so I think I will have one of the parents hold them.

Our rings were supposed to be with our best man(s) and forgot to give them the day of. I had kept on the tray with garlands and got them when asked by the officiant.

Your right about thinking every detail is thought out through and even the simplest ones are forgotten.

I do not think we will have a ring bearer but we will probably have a member of the wedding party hold on to them.

Our 2 eldest nephews were our ring bearers. They brought the rings up the aisle and gave them to the best man and MOH who held them until the ring exchange.

We did not have a ring bearer, and just had the best man hold on to them!!

My father-in-law was the best man, so we trusted him with the rings more than we trusted ourselves! Smiley tongue

I am going to give them to my MOH to place inside this cute glass box that has our names on them, it will sit on the signing table. When it is time for the ring exhange our officiant will hold the box and we can take out each others rings, then the box will be used at home to store our rings in.

Yes for sure! I feel like they would be safer in his pocket and you won’t have to worry about it sliding off.

I like this too! I am having an adults only wedding, so I don't have a ring bearer or flower girl. This would be a nice option... except my groom is a ring size 12.5, and my sister (MOH) has the skinniest little fingers... her thumb is probably a size 8 or 9 haha.

Perhaps just keeping them both with the BM (groom's brother), in his pocket.

My nephew will carry them to the front and hand off my ring to the best man (my fiances brother) and my fiances ring to the matron of honor (my sister) we haven't decided if he will stay at the front or go sit with my parents after.

The best man aka my FH’s brother. He’s usually pretty organized so I have faith in his ability not to forget them. And he has pockets he can put the box in!

The ring bearer is carrying them up the aisle. He will pass them to the best man once he gets to the front. Then the ring bearer will join his parents (none of the children will stay at the front, they will join their parents)

Ooh I love the idea of the MOH & Best Man each keeping a ring - I may steal this Jennifer. We don't have a ring bearer and I think this is super cute.

We’re still thinking about this. Our ring bearer will be so young that we will probably just get the best man to hold the rings during the ceremony then he can pass them to the officiant. Or my MOH can keep the grooms on her thumb and the best man can keep mine on his pinky and pass them off to us. We still have to meet with our officiant and figure things out.
