Me...she and I have very different ideas about wedding decor. I keep saying we're having a wedding in the fall, not a fall wedding.

Literally said this for the first time today. But my fiance has been saying the same about his mother for a while now.

We have been engaged since December and have made sure to include my MIL to avoid any of this.

Now all of a sudden she's getting super petty with comments like 'why didn't my invitation arrive at the same time as everyone else' maybe because I don't control when Canada post decides to send things.

Also getting super judgey now too so ya, just about had it with her pettiness

My future MIL is a nightmare! She is so judgy and opinionated. So much so that she wont find out we even got engaged till we hand out the invitations. We have been engaged for 6 years and none of his family know because they are so rude and judgy. My family is thrilled. His family i swear hates my guts. If i could not invite her i would. I already am not inviting my own parents because of the drama but i have amazing step parents that are more my parents then the ones who created me ever will be. At the end of the day this wedding is about you and him not about anyone else. If they dont like something then they can just not come if its such a big deal.

I have said that about both his mom and my mom but not regarding the wedding, just life in general !!

Both of us. Two mothers of the brides does not make for a good combination.

Me... His mom is a lot to handle on a good day... Start getting her excited about the wedding and it's like a runaway train!!! She actually wants to wear a bright red pantsuit for the wedding! (Am I the only one who thinks that's a bit much...?)

This would be him for sure haha. He would not say those words directly, but she has a lot of expectations and formalities that are important to her that he really just does not see the point of. He does not agree with her on a lot of the planning, but to a point I do, so he will not make a huge fight.

I don't have to deal with his mother since she's out of his life, but I've thought it about my mother! He hasn't said anything negative about her.
