One of the earliest and biggest conundrums you'll encounter when you’re planning a wedding is figuring out who pays for what. There are lots of different ways to divvy things up, so share your own perspective!

    As of right now, my aunt is going to pay for one of my bridal showers. I still have yet to figure out the other showers, so who knows!

    I have no clue, it was a surprise shower at my aunts house. I feel like my aunt, cousin and mom split the cost of food.

    My mom is sorta “hosting”, but basically the day before I get married us gals are going for lunch and I’m pretty sure everyone will pay for their own lunch, it’s nothing fancy Smiley smile

    My SIL and MIL hosted my shower so they covered must of the cost, but i got the desserts for the day.

    My mom has hosted the bridal showers for my sisters in the past and intends to for mine as well, though I will likely help her.

    Since I live across the country from my family and most of the guests, I won't have a bridal shower. I'm actually quite happy about that, as I find those events a tad awkward and uncomfortable.

    I didn't have one so no one. We did host a get together at my mum's where we covered the food though.

    My MIL and SIL hosted and got must of the supplies, i provided dessert and must of the guests brought food. And my SIL aunt made the cake which was so cute Smiley smile

    My mum and her friends hosted and paid for most the shower which was very generous.

    I have been booted from any bridal shower planning, so it will be my mom, FMIL, MOH and bridesmaids (most of my bridesmaids are my sisters).

    I can't see this being a really expensive thing (as compared to the social), so I would like to think that I could pay for it? Just send me a bill and plan it for me? I know that money is tight on one of his parents so I would feel bad expecting them to chip in when I'm just hoping that they can afford to pay their part in the "presentation" "expectation" (enough to pay for their meals).

    I’m hoping my family, his family and my wedding party can shoulder these costs! My brothers wife planned and paid for her own, and I really don’t want to do that!
