Who is getting married on a weekday?

Hi everyone! So yes, my FH and I chose to get married on a Monday! We originally wanted a Sunday, but now that we are narrowing in on our venue which we really like, all of thier Fri/Sat/Sunday's are booked.

At first I was a bit hesitant and nervous about doing this because not only is it durng the work week. My major concern is everyone's comfort levels. Will people have enough time to work, go home and change, to then make it to the ceremony? Will guests have to take the whole day off, just to come to an evening ceremony? As a couple we decided to have an evening ceremony, and I've managed to change our minds to finally agree upon a ceremony and reception to both take place at one location. So that way there will be less travelling for people.

I'm hoping to have the ceremony at about 6:30, so it is late enough for people who still choose to work, and if guests want to take the day off or half a day off, its totally up to them. With this in mind, it'll most likely end at 10:00 ish.

I think we can get away with this as its a more of a laid back, wedding get together, at an outddor cocktail reception.

I have a friend getting married on a Friday, but I have not heard of a Monday! I think it will be great for saving money! We thought about doing a Friday because it will be cheaper. However we are looking for a party the Saturday night and with a bigger wedding and a lot of guests from out of town, it was easier for our guests to get the time off work and have a hotel to stay in on the weekend!
