We booked a Saturday, it was super important to us!

We got engaged at the end of September this year & have booked for September 2018 so the availability was great!

Not sure how far in advance now to start booking my other vendors though...

if you are looking for a general timeline, the weddingwire checklist helped me a lot!

I would suggest booking your photographer and DJ/band and officiant sooner rather than later. They also book up quickly, and once you have those your "big things" are all set, unless you are planning something extra.

I'm slowly learning more about the site & I definitely think that checklist will help out!

We're starting to look at photographers now ( but we already have friends who do wedding videography so that was an easy choice). The officiant (and church) & DJ will be next!

We are getting married on a Saturday! It was important that we book on a Saturday because my FH has church on Sunday's, as well as a lot of the guests attending the wedding and the Friday is the day we will be setting up the reception hall!

Hi Melissa! Welcome to the community!! That's amazing!! Great job on booking in advance!! You can also start booking other stuff in advance like your DJ and photographer, which get booked pretty quickly!

A Saturday wedding was really important to us, but being in the off season it was not a problem at all securing a Saturday.

We managed to get a Saturday at our venue with under a year to go! I think the wedding faeries used a little magic for me ....and we picked a smaller venue!

Yup getting married this Sat! We're in the "off season" and we got engaged 2 years before the wedding so I think that helped us secure our date easily!
