nothing is booked! I want to get married in the Canadian Rockies, but I need to consider affordable housing for everyone, as this is a destination wedding.
I would like to figure the venue out befire anything else. We set a budget of 30k...no idea if that is too low or normal...
how do you feel about different bridemaids dresses, good or bad idea?

Been together 10 years, just recently engaged on 04/22/2018! We have decided on 08/15/2020 for our wedding date! We are from Chilliwack,BC & getting married here as well! We have the venue picked and are putting our deposit down next week. Other then that I just have my ideas but nothing else locked down. Got engaged in October, we are planning on getting married on 02-02-2020 in Orlando

So far we have sent out the save the dates, as we are from Canada and this will be a destination wedding, so we wanted to give our families enough notice to save up and be able to make it.

Right now we are planning on renting 2 vacation homes for every to stay in together, one for the bridal party and one for the parents and siblings. we are just waiting for accurate numbers before we book the homes

Engaged in February and the Venue is booked. I've chosen my Bridal party. Colours I think are nailed down, maybe some minor tweaking. Hoping to have the photographer booked in the next month or so. Talked to our band already. A lot of the stuff needed will be taken care of by the venue * phew *

I feel weird planning everything so far in advance and I totally get the weird looks as mentioned above! Looking forward to doing our engagement session pics and planning save the dates

Newly engaged as of 04.01.2018, planning to get married on 10.10.2020 😀 unsure of everything at the moment besides the date. Just taking this engagement time to enjoy it, each other and to save up for the wedding of our dreams!

Vaughan, Ontario! We are going with July 11, 2020 (waiting on the Church to confirm this).

So far...

- Our venue is booked (on standby until we get our day finalized)

- Photographer/Videography is booked

- Stylist/Decor is booked

- Bridal Party is figured out (haven't told them yet)

- DJ is booked

I have a rough idea for everything else (limo, florals, makeup, etc). I am a huge OCD planner and need everything figured out FAR in advance.

Newly engaged of last month! My fiancee and I decided for July 18th 2020 date.

The venue, in Pentengushiene Ontario - Haven't booked the venue yet, hoping to confirm soon.

Our colors have been decided. Purple, Orange and Silver/Grey

Our Bridesmaids - a work in progress.

Engagement Shoot - booked for this June. Will use the photo for Save the Date to be released sometime in August.

We are saving up and buying a few items monthly as we go.

Anything else we should be doing/concerned for NOW?

Hailey here! Very newly engaged, as of three days ago! We are thinking August 15th 2020 somewhere in the GTA, Ontario. Pretty much nothing planned lol but just taking our time and enjoying the exciting engagement period! Xo

I’m getting married August 29, 2020. We are in the saving stage right now. We have been to a couple of venue open houses, just to explore our options. We know the type of wedding we want, which is why having it that far out works. Also I’m excited that I have that time to plan and just also enjoy our engagement. I feel good that I’m not the only one now.. lol. Whenever I someone my wedding date, it’s always a weird reaction. Grateful for this community.
