Who here changed their colour scheme halfway through planning?

Joey, on March 10, 2018 at 14:05 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 14

It's confession time! Did you change your color scheme after you started planning? How far along into planning were you? Did you have to return anything you had already bought?

Why have one color when you can have them all!!Who here changed their colour scheme halfway through planning? 1

Grey is my fav color, I can't wait to see how it comes out!

I initially wanted bright green, but as soon as we chose our venues I saw how badly that would clash. My DH wanted his fav color, bright blue, so we went with that. About halfway through planning I let Pinterest lead me to doubt myself and thought I should switch to dark teal, but that only lasted about a day!

I originally thought I wanted navy blue but ended up switching to grey. Everything is now shades of white, grey, and black, though I'm hoping to add an accent colour (either burgundy or navy).

I didn't change but I had a really hard time deciding what colour I wanted for my BMs.

Yes well kind of, we just switched the type of purple (switched from violet to plum) and have a tad more gold now (however gold was already one of our colours)

Oh man, we did. We originally wanted to do mint and grey but then EVERYBODY started doing mint and grey. So, we changed to dusty rose, champagne, blush colours, and ivory... then everybody started doing that lol We just gave up after that and stayed with our second choice lol

Me! I had started with just dusty sage, then dusty sage and mauve. Now it’s shades of dusty green and dusty blues

My colours have always been eggplant and guacamole green. I hadn't thought of an accent colour so places where we didn't want (or couldn't get) the right shades, I needed another colour. I ended up going with gold, which works with both.

I JUST changed up my colours lol. I initially wanted the guys to wear navy and my girls to wear a champagne colour. After going with my girls as they tried on dresses, I was not a fan on the champagne at all. I’m dead set on navy for the guys so I had to look for a colour that would compliment it. I thought about blush, but my wedding is in oct so that wouldn’t really be a good choice. So I ended up going with Navy lol. All of the bridal party will be in navy. Which completely changed up a few things but I feel it will look great! I’m going to try and incorporate a bit of burgundy here and there.. seems like it goes better with my colours than other choices.. also the time of year! Navy and burgundy will look awesome Smiley smile

Right here!! We agreed on mint, white and tan. Well that lasted a while and it was agreed by the wedding party. But then I saw a more dusty, neutral palette and fell in love ❤️ So now we are set on that.. hopefully lol

I did, I've been engaged since Jan. 2017 was pretty set on Mint, Coral & Ivory. Recently changed to 'Dusty RoseGold' & Ivory, after bringing two of my bridesmaid the stylist brought out dustyrosegold dresses & they and the other ladies loved it, I also liked it a lot Smiley smile

🙋🏼‍♀️I did! Originally it was blue, then purple and sage, now I’m having the girls wear jewel tones! (Dark green, blue, burgundy, purple). Thank god only one person had purchased a dress (super sale $25)

I feel like I don’t really have a colour scheme 🙈 I guess it’s always been mostly neutrals and my bridesmaids are wearing dusk (lilac grey) so that’s incorporated into our bouquets but I feel like I never know what to say when people ask me what our colours are lol

Omg meee meee! Lol well not fully changed I wanted black and gold only but I decided add some neutral colors such as biscotti, pewter, rose gold and white just to add a little dimension and to have more decoration color options. I feel much better now lol
