    We were on vacation when he proposed, and I phoned my kids as soon as I could and then my parents, then my best friend. Didn't post it on social media at any point - for me, this was something I wanted to let anyone know in person as we saw them.

    My parents were the first to find out since they were on vacation in El Salvador at the time.
    I was a real jerk and started the conversation with “you need to sit down because something happened to me yesterday” and proceeded to show them my ring.

    Hahahah talk all about a dark sense of humor. After that we’ve kept it under wraps most of people that know are only the ones going since we wanted to keep it small

    Family was for sure the first. I let my parents and grandparents know before posting it on social media so they heard it from me first.

    Well seeing as how I proposed to him - he had to go and ask my Dad for permission first. So technically him?
