Where to Find a Makeup Artist- simple, natural look

Hi all,

I'm having trouble finding a makeup artist in Toronto that does a simpler, natural look. When I browse through portfolios I'm taken aback by the Before/After pics. I'm not looking for 'glam' look and just want to look like myself. Unfortunately, I'm not particularly skilled with makeup and thus can't do it myself.

Anyone have any suggestions? Or where to look?

Michele Gomes is amazing! She will always listen to whatever you want. I have hired her to do my make up 4 times for other events and using her for the wedding as well.

She's based in Trenton, Ontario but will travel (it's only a small fee, I believe) and she is 1. A wonderful human being, and 2. An amazing makeup artist. I have hired her for my wedding and I told her right from the get-go "I still want to look like me and I dont want to cover my freckles!" She loves that. She wants brides to stay as natural as possible. Here are some pics of me without any makeup (a normal day - ignore my friend, sorry xD) and my makeup trial.

I would suggest emailing those MUA and asking for examples of more 'natural' looks they might have done.
One thing I had a hard time with, when looking at different styles of makeup, was that a lot of them might look natural but the bride had loads of contour done, massive lashes, or it was still "heavy" in the application of the makeup, which I didn't want.
