Definitely talk to your Fiancé and write a list of 3-4 things that are most important for your wedding! Ours is guest list (we want a small wedding but it is important our family and friends can be there), good food and fun!! Then we looked at when we wanted to get married (for us it was spring/summer 2022) then wrote out all the dates we liked during that time. Then picked our top 3 dates and then started looking at venues! Depending on when you are planning on getting married id start booking vendors asap!

    Congrats!

WW Checklist is a great start though you may not use all of it, just the main things to do. WW Budget is also great to track your set amount and spending so you can see where you're at anytime you finish a task. WW Guests allows you to track your guest count and to provide to vendors as needed. It's also good for having getting replied back when adding the information on the invitation to your guests. WW chart has options for your layout of seating and areas of tables for cake, gifts and buffet. WW Vendors has all areas to cover for what you seek to book and inquires along with discounts for being a member.

Other than the site offerings, many tips may be helpful in the way you can use marketplace. Consider the option of rental for décor, centerpieces, and more as storage space at home does take up space and the cost is lower than retail itself.

Pick a date, and find the big vendors right away then you can relax! Think about an outdoor option if you want a larger wedding!

Yay congrats!!! WW has the “checklist” section to help keep you in track. As many have already stated, start with a date, and budget then go from there Smiley smile good luck

    Congratulations!

My suggested first step would be to sit down with your new fiance and figure out what each of you wants, needs, and wants to avoid. This way you can start out on the same foot with budgets, rough guest list size (like if you both have large families are all the cousins *and* their kids coming, will this be a kid free evening etc), and what vendors you'll be shopping for. From there you'll know roughly how many people are coming so you can pick a venue that will fit them without being to big or too small and one that might have some of the things on either of your dream lists.
Having the rough guest list can help in another way too: you can avoid talking about the wedding details with people who aren't invited or be able to let those people down gently early on. When great aunt so and so asks you can say "we both really want a small intimate wedding" or "we can't wait to party with you!".

Congratulations, Kara and welcome to Weddingwire!

The first thing is to pick a date. Anyone you talk to will want to know when you want to get married so they can let you know if they're available.

Do you have any ideas on how you want your wedding to be like? This could be something specific or general ideas.
