Where did you buy your outfits for your honeymoon?

Jen, on November 30, 2017 at 11:12 Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

Hey ladies,

Where did you shop for attire for your honeymoon to a warm destination? What exactly did you pack? We are going to Costa Rica at the beginning of July and this is my very first warm trip. I have NO idea what to pack, how many bathing suits to get (or a cheap place to order them from), dresses? shorts? shirts? AHHHH! Too many things to think about.

What websites did you use and/or shops did you visit for your honeymoon attire?

I usually just pack summer clothes when I go down South. Pack some shorts, a few t-shirts and tanks, a few sundresses and a few fancier items. As for bathing suits as long as you have one to wear and one to spare you should be fine. For buying them I would suggest Victoria's Secret or La Vie en Rose.

A bit of advice for the snorkeling. Bring a light colored t shirt to wear over your bathing suit. You will burn like no tomorrow snorkeling without it. Even with a ton of sunscreen the water reflects the rays.

I'm leaving Sunday and I feel like I overpacked lol. We have never had a beach vacation so I'm a little overwhelmed!

I have so far packed 2 one piece bathing suits for snorkeling/water sports that way I won't have to worry about losing my top or bottoms! I am also bringing a few bathing suit tops and bottoms.
I got one bathing suit from Triangl, and the rest are from Aerie. Triangl is high quality but it is quite pricey. The aerie suits are decent quality depending on the suit and are very reasonably priced.

I'm bringing some shorts, mostly dresses, some tank tops and a couple fancy dinner dresses. Most of my summer clothes come from Aerie, American eagle and Topshop. I would also make sure to bring a cardigan and or light jacket and sweater in case it gets chilly at night.

Walking/hiking shoes for excursions, sandals and flip flops and dress shoes for dinners.

It's great that you are going in July as all this stuff will be readily available! I had a hard time getting some new pieces as it's December and no one sells summer stuff in stores lol

Oh and also, but spray!! Definitely bring that.

I like to take one bathing suit bottom per day (especially if you plan on spending a lot of time on the beach). Bathing suit tops I tend to wear more than once. One pair of long pants and sweater/jacket just in case. Some Latin cultures don't wear shorts--so capris or skirts to be respectful if you leave the resort. I'm not sure if Costa Rica is one. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, shower/beach sandals (may seem obvious, but I have forgotten one on most occasions).

I ordered one to see how the quality and sizing are and they're both good...I think I bought one that was on sale for $14 or something. Though I will mention that they are very into the smaller bottoms that show some cheek, so pay attention to the style of bottom!

I packed some active clothes...shorts and tshirts for going on excursions, long pants, water shoes and running shoes for that purpose too. I also packed dresses to go to dinner in since some of the restaurants had dress codes (some require no sandles, so a pair of nice flats came in handy). I also skipped on the heels since the resort had some pretty steep inclines on the paths while walking around. Truthfully, I wore less than half of what I packed since I was in a bathing suit most days.

I have been cruising their website sooooo much lately. I've NEVER purchased a bathing suit on the internet so I was a little worried. I'm thinking of ordering one to test out the sizing and then go from there. I've heard the quality is good. What else did you pack to bring with you?

I ordered a ton of bikins from cupshe. The quality was great and shipping was fast. I ordered some of their clothing items, but the quality leaves something to be desired - I would definitely check them out for bathing suits though!
