This will not be a pleasant task as we will be holding our reception at a restaurant and have 23 tables of 10 and 3 tables will need to be removed later in the evening to create the dance floor. I was thinking of just putting all the young people at those tables cause they don't really need to sit all night, but my fiance just informed me that all the elders need to sit close to the head table because it is a status thing and the young people need to sit in the back.....which is away from the tables being removed to create the dance floor. Putting this task off until most of the RSVP's come in.
Not even close to this step, but I feel like we may have a bit of a tough time with this. We're doing harvest tables, I'm thinking maybe we should assign our seats and the families and let everyone else sit where they'd like.
We DID figure it out but now there are 2 extra people being added to the list so it screws up our whole plan. My sister's don't get along so I can't seat them together which is really making things difficult

I've been working on this since we sent out the invites to make it less stressful for when we get all our RSVP's back. If people say they can't come, i just take them out of the chart
We had trouble enough figuring out the guest list. We wanted 150 or less but at this point we are having about 236 invited LOL. We have literally taken people off and added more so many times but can't get it any lower. Our venue also only holds 200 plus the wedding party so we are hoping for a few declines lol
My FH is actually the one who created the seating chart. He did it one night after I went to bed using this site and just played around with it. Things are bound to change though since some people we invited aren't able to make the wedding.
I have been the only one to work on the seating chart which honestly did take a long time. You try to sit certain people at tables with other people they might know, and try to keep people separate that maybe don't get along and it is a lot harder then it looks to try and accomodate everybody! I did the best I could and made about 10-15 different seating charts and recently I had to change things up because a couple getting divorced, is now possibly getting back together haha!!
