When to send invitations?

We are sending ours in November which is 7 months before the wedding but we are asking people to RSVP by mid January. We are having a lot of people from out of town so we figured sending the invites earlier would encourage people to book their hotel rooms and make the plans with plenty of time to spare

We sent out our invites at the end of January and get married June 9th. We have a lot of people coming in from out of town and wanted to give them a lot of notice so they could plan accordingly.

Mine will be going out September. My wedding is close to Christmas

I'm getting married the same month as you! I sent my invites out about 2 weeks ago and have an RSVP deadline of a month before the wedding.

I'd recommend to get them out soon as we're approaching the 3 month mark!

I think 3 to 4 months depending if you got guest that are from out of town. It gives them time to book of work and plan out there travel time/expenses etc

If you have lots of people coming from out of town or out of country I would suggest doing it earlier so that they have lots of time to make travel arrangements. If all your guests are pretty local then 3-4 months should be fine.

Most people would say 3 months is suffice. It all depends on how much time you want to have to work on your seating chart and when your numbers are due to your venue.

3-4 months is enough time!
