When should we make the deadline for RSVPs?

Zoë, on June 27, 2017 at 07:05 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10

Hi everyone!

Make your RSVP date two to three weeks before your wedding date to allow enough time for you to get a final head count to the caterer (one week before) and to finalize your seating chart. If some guests still haven't responded by your deadline, give them a quick call and ask for their RSVPs.

We are doing about 2 months before the wedding to ensure we can finalize our numbers with our caterer early.

We are sending out our invitations next week and have August 11th as our reply by date because we need to let our florist know how tables we have if we have less (not expected) we will need fewer centerpieces

We will be sending out our invitations in May/June 2018, I think a month before is good enough so your not rushing or freaking out about the seating arrangements.

We did the same, a week before seems like cutting it close.

We are sending our invites in the next couple of weeks with a deadline of September 1st. Our wedding is October 14th. We didn't do save the dates and we are only having 30-40 people at the wedding so I'm not worried about people not RSVPing

We made our RSVP date in early July as we didn't want to be rushing around at the last minute in September. It also means that everyone can get their plans set before summer holidays.

We did ours as July 1st and our wedding is August 12th. The reason being, we have a professional making our seating chart and and she needs more time to make it as it is during wedding season!
