When should we send out our wedding invitations?

Hi everyone!

Traditionally, invitations go out six to eight weeks before the wedding—that gives guests plenty of time to clear their schedules and make travel arrangements if they don't live in town. If it's a destination wedding, give guests more time.

    I sent mine out in April for our September 24th wedding. Just wanted to make sure no one planned a vacation for that time.

    We are sending ours out around christmas, which is 6 months before our wedding.

    I gave mine out @ our Christman family Party. no stamps or extra cost.

    I am sending mine out next week I hope! That will be 8 weeks but everyone has known the date for the last year and a half so shouldn't be any problems for people responding.

    We sent our our invitations in February as we have people coming from very far away. I personally don't think 6-8 weeks is enough notice as I know plenty of people who already have plans for vacations and such way earlier than that.

    We sent ours out in May. We gave more like 4 months because we have the earlier deadline to rsvp by in order to have our seating chart made!!

    We have sent out all of our invitations on June 13. We wanted to give people lots of notice.
